The short version: Rings:LifeManager is built on a privacy-first foundation. All AI processing — transcription, summarization, smart extraction, and AI insights — happens entirely on your device. Your recordings, notes, lists, and habits never leave your phone unless you explicitly choose otherwise.
Rings:LifeManager ("the App") is developed and operated by OctiCorp. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The App is designed to work entirely offline and on-device. We do not require an account, and we do not collect personal information to provide the core functionality of the App.
All content you create within the App — including voice recordings, transcriptions, AI summaries, lists, calendar events, notes, and habit data — is stored locally on your device. This data belongs to you.

All AI features in Rings:LifeManager run directly on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks:
No audio, transcription, or AI prompt data is sent to OctiCorp or any third-party AI provider. Apple's on-device models process everything locally and privately.
The App requests access to your device's microphone solely to capture voice recordings initiated by you. Microphone access is never used in the background or without your active interaction.
Recorded audio files are stored in your app's local sandbox and are never transmitted over the internet by the App. You can delete individual recordings or all recordings at any time from Settings → Storage → Clear All Recordings.
All app data — recordings, transcriptions, lists, notes, events, and habits — is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage infrastructure.
You can permanently delete all recordings from Settings → Storage → Clear All Recordings within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored app data from your device. We do not retain copies of your data on any OctiCorp server.
The App does not currently use iCloud sync. All data remains on the device where it was created.
Rings:LifeManager offers an optional paid subscription to unlock the full feature set. Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit infrastructure.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or content with any third party for any purpose, including advertising.
The App integrates with the following Apple system services, which are governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy:
We do not integrate any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services that transmit data externally.
Rings:LifeManager is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@octicorp.com and we will take steps to delete it.
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control. You can view, edit, and delete any content directly within the App at any time. Deleting the App removes all associated data.
You can revoke microphone access at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Rings:LifeManager. Revoking microphone access disables recording features but does not affect other functionality.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
